Noah Allison is the Managing Partner and Co-Founder of Martin & Allison. He is originally from upstate New York. He graduated from Hamilton College in 1993, earned his Juris Doctor from California Western School of Law in 1997, and settled in southern Nevada that same year, joining one of Nevada’s largest law firms.
Mr. Allison’s areas of practice include:
Construction Law: Mr. Allison represents some of largest construction companies in Nevada, including Perini Building Company, The Penta Building Group, and CORE Construction of Nevada. He has conducted construction trials in both Las Vegas and Reno and he has handled several arbitrations and mediations. Mr. Allison also advises and assists the Association of General Contractors (“AGC”) concerning the reformation of Nevada’s mechanic’s lien statutes and the Prompt Payment Act. Mr. Allison has lectured the National Association of Minority Contractors (“NAMC”) and other trade groups on construction issues in Nevada.
Personal Injury Law: Mr. Allison has extensive experience litigating personal injury and premises liability cases on both sides of the courtroom. He has obtained several million dollars in jury verdicts for plaintiffs and has obtained zero-pay defense verdicts for defendants. Mr. Martin and Mr. Allison won the largest negligent security verdict in Nevada history, which was later upheld by the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals in a published opinion.
Real Property Litigation: Mr. Allison has litigated and prevailed at trial on varying disputes concerning title to real property.
Insurance Bad Faith: Mr. Allison has successfully represented persons and companies that were mistreated by their insurance companies. These “bad faith” insurance lawsuits cover everything from failures by insurance companies to properly adjust and pay claims resulting from fires, floods, vehicle accidents and professional malpractice to situations when the insurance company failed to protect its insured from judgments in excess of policy limits. Mr. Allison also is recognized as an authority on uninsured/underinsured motorist coverage and has given lectures on the topic.
Mr. Allison is an active member of the southern Nevada Community. He serves on the Board of Directors for Clark Towers, a low-income apartment complex for seniors. He supports STEP UP (“Student to Teacher Education Program”), a program that recruits and trains local high school students to stay in their neighborhoods and become teachers. He also has performed pro bono services for local non-profits, including Green Valley United Methodist Church.
